Gators parents who are assigned with EBSL jobs, please read the following message from EBSL and follow through the process.

NEW this year we will have Google forms that each volunteer will need to complete upon Check-In AND Check-Out for their individual shifts. Each respondent will receive a copy of their form in email upon submission. The volunteer desk will always be available to assist, or answer questions. But hopefully the lines are minimal this year.

The following jobs reference check in locations and approximate time frame.

• Award Distribution: QR Check located at the entrance of the New Ribbon Room - 2611
• Hospitality: QR Check located near new Ribbon Room - 2611
• Security: QR Check in will be at the Security Table where vests and assignments given
• Timers, Recorders, Deck runners, Chief Timers:
  • Friday - 1st shift QR check in near Gate 1 / Volunteer Table should be completed by 3:00pm and then report to deck; 2nd shift QR check in near Gate 1/Volunteer Table at the start of event #43 then line up at Gate 1 for shift change.
  • Saturday - 1st shift QR check in near Gate 1/ Volunteer Table at 8:00am and then report to deck; 2nd shift QR check in near Gate 1 / Volunteer Table at the start of event #27 and 3rd shift at start of event #49 then line up at Gate 1 for shift change.
• Sat. Clerk of the Course Clerks and Escorts: QR Check located in front of CoC white tent behind gymnasium.
• First Aid: QR Check located at First Aid Tent bottom of stairs lower Deck Gate 4
• Program Sales, Announcer, 50/50 sales, Volunteer Desk & On Call:QR Check in near Volunteer Desk
• ANY QUESTIONS for all Volunteer positions: Volunteer Table any time throughout the meet

During each shift change a Chabot Marlin representative will walk around to every station to ensure volunteers have arrived. Please remind your volunteers repeatedly to arrive early! Late volunteers delay the meet.

If a volunteer does not show up for their shift:

1. An On-Call volunteer will fill in until the original volunteer arrives.
2. We will make an attempt to contact the team volunteer coordinator to find their missing volunteer. Please make sure we have your cell phone number and the name and number of a back up person. It is very difficult to contact people with all the noise on deck so please make sure you keep your phone with you and check it often!
3. If your volunteer does not show up for their shift: Per EBSL Championship Meet rules, a $100 fine will be imposed on your team for every individual who misses their shift.

Please review the job responsibilities with your volunteers. Each year many people show up at the Volunteer Table not knowing what they were supposed to do or where they were supposed to go.

Please emphasize to volunteers the importance of arriving promptly for their shift & to not leave before the shift is complete. This will all be measured based on their check-in and check-out times in the Google form responses. It was very difficult trying to find missing volunteers who did not pay attention to the pending shift changes.
