SWIM MEET 101
*What can parents do to help their swimmers be prepared for their races?
- Indicate Attendance in Swimtopia by end of the Monday before the Meet. This is mandatory if your swimmer plans to attend. Any "undeclared" attendance is treated as "absent".
-Come on-time to meet
-Check-in with the Attendance taker
-Participate in warm-ups
-Find your age group Clerk and have the child follow instructions
-Write events on the arm in Sharpie (bring one from home!)
-Review the EVENTS (E) with the swimmer
-Review what HEAT (H) and what LANE (L) the swimmer will be in. (See image below)
-Review the Stroke the swimmer will swim.
