Updated Volunteer Job Requirements for the 2026 Gators Season

    Dear Gator Families,

First, thank you for being part of the Gators community and for supporting our swimmers throughout the season. Our team is built entirely on volunteer efforts, and we are grateful for every family that contributes their time and energy to make this program successful.

At the beginning of the season, we communicated that each family would be assigned six volunteer jobs. However, after finalizing this year's meet schedule, we realized that our volunteer needs are significantly higher than originally anticipated.

Last season, we hosted one Time Trial and two home meets. This year, we are hosting one Time Trial and three home meets. That additional home meet creates many more volunteer positions that must be filled to ensure our meets run safely, efficiently, and successfully.

As a result, each family will be assigned a total of nine volunteer jobs for the season instead of the six jobs originally stated during registration.

We understand this is an increase from what was initially communicated, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding. The Gators is a volunteer-run organization, and every meet depends on the collective efforts of our families. Many of our key volunteers and board members have already dedicated countless hours behind the scenes planning meets, coordinating volunteers, managing team operations, organizing events, maintaining equipment, communicating with families, and supporting our swimmers throughout the season.

We are now asking each family to contribute a little more to help share the workload and ensure that no small group of volunteers carries a disproportionate burden. When everyone does their part, our swimmers can enjoy a fun, organized, and successful season.

Please note that the nine volunteer jobs do not include Championship meet volunteer assignments. Based on EBSL guidelines, 100 swimmers from our team will be invited to the Championship Meet on July 10 or July 11. Because the list of qualifying swimmers will not be finalized until later in the season, volunteer assignments for Championships will be coordinated separately. Families of swimmers who qualify for Championships will be asked to help support the meet, and additional information regarding those assignments will be provided at a later date.

Thank you for your continued support, cooperation, and commitment to the Gators community. Together, we can provide a great experience for all of our swimmers.

    Go Gators!
