Hi Gators Families,

We'd like to give everyone a heads-up about Championship volunteer jobs so you can plan ahead.

This year, for the first time, the Gators are responsible for the Championship setup and teardown. This is a labor-intensive assignment, and since it's new to our team, our EBSL representatives are working with last year's host team to learn from their experience and develop an efficient plan.

Here is our tentative volunteer schedule:

• Thursday, July 9 (Evening): Approximately 10 volunteers to mark and tape the Championship area.
• Friday, July 10 (Morning): Approximately 10–12 volunteers for Championship setup before the meet begins.
• Saturday, July 11 (Afternoon): Approximately 10–12 volunteers for teardown after the Championship concludes.

All families with swimmers competing at Championships will be expected to help with one of these setup or teardown assignments.

In addition, every swim team is required to provide at least three EBSL officials for the Championship. Officials serve as Stroke & Turn Judges, Starters, or in other roles that help ensure races are conducted fairly and in accordance with league rules. No previous experience is required. Training is typically held on Thursday evening at Chabot College, the day before the Championship begins.If you're interested or would like to learn more, please text me directly, and I'll be happy to share more information. Please plan ahead to fully support our swimmers, our team, and the Championship. If possible, arrange your work schedules now so you can be available to volunteer. It truly takes all of us working together to make this event successful.
